I am trying to document the original configuration of a 2025 GMC Yukon. Code 58F is shown as “Wheels: 18" (45.7 cm) alloy with Sterling Silver finish. This code identifies the factory wheel size, material, finish, design, or related wheel equipment” Which source is usually most reliable when the build sheet, window sticker, and dealer printout do not use identical wording?

My experience has been positive, but the benefit depends on how the vehicle is used. I would treat 58F as confirmation of the configuration, then evaluate whether that equipment matters for your driving.

This sounds more like a documentation mismatch than a decoder error. Different databases often shorten the same factory description in different ways.

Check the production month as well as the model year. Mid-year changes are one reason two vehicles with the same badge can have different hardware or descriptions.

On these vehicles, similar descriptions can use different codes because of supplier changes or package combinations. The code itself is useful, but the VIN-specific parts catalog is better before ordering anything.

That code should be read as a factory configuration identifier, not necessarily a guarantee of a separate dashboard control. Some equipment operates automatically or is bundled with another system.
