I am comparing configurations and one vehicle includes 5CS, described as “Shifter, sueded microfiber. This code identifies the vehicle's factory transmission, gearing, shifter, or related calibration” Owners who have it, would you consider it useful and would you look for it again?

Some codes are reused across several brands, but that does not always mean the parts are identical. Model, trim, drivetrain, and production date can all matter.

On these vehicles, similar descriptions can use different codes because of supplier changes or package combinations. The code itself is useful, but the VIN-specific parts catalog is better before ordering anything.

I found a second document with the same code, so it looks like the original configuration is confirmed. The marketing name was what caused the confusion.
