I am organizing the original options on a recently purchased 2020 Dodge Challenger. Code 6W7 appears in the list with the description “Paint Order Code. This code identifies a factory paint color, stripe, badge, or exterior appearance treatment” Is that wording complete, or is there usually more equipment associated with the code?

Before buying, I would inspect the relevant component and take a photo of its label or part number. That often resolves whether the vehicle still has the factory configuration associated with 6W7.

I would avoid buying retrofit parts until the connectors and module support are confirmed. Returning electronic or VIN-programmed components can be difficult.

I have seen this on a similar Dodge Challenger. The basic description was correct, but one related feature was part of a separate package. I would not assume the code includes every item mentioned in marketing material.
