I would avoid buying retrofit parts until the connectors and module support are confirmed. Returning electronic or VIN-programmed components can be difficult.

My experience has been positive, but the benefit depends on how the vehicle is used. I would treat 6F2 as confirmation of the configuration, then evaluate whether that equipment matters for your driving.

Before buying, I would inspect the relevant component and take a photo of its label or part number. That often resolves whether the vehicle still has the factory configuration associated with 6F2.

Check the production month as well as the model year. Mid-year changes are one reason two vehicles with the same badge can have different hardware or descriptions.

The wording may be abbreviated because these were originally production codes rather than consumer descriptions. “Paint Order Code. This code identifies a factory paint color, stripe, badge, or exterior appearance treatment” is a reasonable plain-English reading, but the exact implementation should be verified for the 2013 model.

This sounds more like a documentation mismatch than a decoder error. Different databases often shorten the same factory description in different ways.

The dealer should be able to pull a VIN-specific equipment or parts record. Ask them to search by VIN rather than entering only the three-character code.
